Accessorize All Areas

Experimenting with accessories is a perfect way to try out this season's newest trends and update your look with minimal expense. Olivia Palermo is a constant inspiration of mine in terms of how she uses accessories to add impact and polish to otherwise simple looks.

I've selected a few key pieces below that tap into autumn's biggest trends with ease.

Colour is big news this season but if you're not ready to trade in your trusty black coat for the citrus brights seen here at Burberry, why not make a splash by adding a colourful hat to your ensemble instead. I love bows in any shape or form so I was immediately drawn to this cute Knotted Bow Cloche Hat from Accessorize.

Designers played with a variety of textures in this season's collections, with furs featuring heavily on almost every catwalk. River Island has taken inspiration from Gucci and come up with this Faux Fur Collar-giving a nod to the 70's inspired, luxe glam trend.

Prints were all over the new season catwalks, ranging from dots and spots to circles and winter florals - but it's Dolce & Gabbana's star print that has really caught my eye. If the thought of wearing an all over print like this leaves you feeling overwhelmed, a star print scarf can be the the perfect remedy. At less than €5 this one from New Look is a steal.

Peter Pan collars made a real statement on the runways of  DKNY, Louis Vuitton and Temperley London, and I've already seen celebrities such as Alexa Chung, Emma Watson and Hailee Steinfeld embracing the trend. This Leather Peter Pan Collar from ASOS is a brilliant accessory that can be used to style multiple outfits using pieces that you already own. Add it to t-shirts, knitted jumpers, dresses or coats for a truly unique, on-trend look.
