Pencil Sharp!

One of my favourite trends for Autumn is the return to glamour and all things forties inspired. Central to this is the pencil skirt. I love the shapely silhouette this piece creates thanks to its hip hugging, waist-cinching qualities. The pencil skirt is subtly edgy and surprisingly comfortable to wear, making it perfect for everyday. And with some clever styling it's a piece that can be transformed from day-to-night in minutes. I'll be pairing mine with pussy bow blouses for the office and accessorising to the hilt for evening glamour!

The pencil skirt ruled the catwalks this season in every colour and texture - from trusty black to statement prints in wool, leather and lace among other fabrics. From demure to diva, there's a style for everyone. Here's a little inspiration from the fall collections
