Winter White

As much as I love wearing bright colours, I always go back to my favourite winter white neutrals at this time of year. Although white can be hard to keep clean, the overall look is soft, luxurious and so cosy!  I especially love coats and knitwear in this dreamy hue and it also looks great paired with gold. I'd happily welcome any of these pieces below into my wardrobe this month!

Luscious Lace

Lace is a trend that never really fades away, it's simply re-worked each season. And this fall/winter, it's all about the drama! Lace was all over the Fall runways but my favourite showing was at Jason Wu - where it was creatively incorporated into almost every look. I'm taking inspiration from the dramatic lace eye masks (it is halloween after all!) and the pairing of lace with contrasting fabrics such as leather, satin and feathers. I also love how Wu has teamed dark, gothic like lace with bright jewel tones - fabulous!

Here are some gorgeous lace pieces that are in stores at the moment.

Style Star: Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian gets a hard time in the press but I must admit I'm a huge fan of her casual looks. Kim mainly sticks to skinny jeans for daytime, styling them with statement pieces to achieve a brand new look with every wear. How stunning is this black cape coat? I also love the pop of leopard print to break up an all black outfit!

All Tied Up...

I have a long established love affair with bows, whether they are on clothes, shoes, hair accessories or bags - I love them in all shapes and forms! So for this week's 'Inspiration' post, I thought I'd share a few bow adorned pieces from my own closet...

First up, shoes! These are one of my favourite pairs and I love how the bows sparkle when they catch the light. They will definitely be getting a wear over the party season!

This gold clutch was a recent purchase from Forever 21. Glittery and in the shape of a bow - I couldn't resist!

Bow belts - super sized and super skinny! These are great for glamming up basic tops and dresses!

A giant bow on a plain navy tank instantly adds a pretty girly edge!

And to tie things up... sometimes the best bows come wrapped around a special blue box :)

Ad Love...

The latest Burberry campaign shots can only be described as monochrome magic! I loved these looks on the Fall runway and the ad campaign is just as stunning. I love the mix of textures in these pieces - fur, leather, wool - and those bow belts are just beautiful!

Happy Friday!

Take One...Leather Skirt

Leather is a huge trend this season and I've found the perfect skirt that works the look while still being versatile. The pleats give it a lovely girly feel which can be played up by teaming it with a preppy monochrome knit and ballet pumps. Add a touch of lace and some killer heels for an edgier look!

And there you have it, a gorgeous piece that will take you from day to night with ease...

Chunky Knits

The sudden drop in temperature means it's definitely time for layering up and getting out the winter woolies!
This season, I'm looking forward to updating my wardrobe with cable jumpers and chunky knits.
Just looking at the above images makes me feel warm and cosy!

Here are some of my favourite pieces that are currently hotting up the high street...

Style Star: Eva Longoria

I am a huge fan of Eva Longoria's style - day or night, she always looks polished and can pull off any colour with her gorgeous skintone. She really caught my eye this week wearing a fabulous Alice & Olivia sequin dress at the "Padres Contra El Cancer" Gala in Las Vegas. Given my current obsession with all things sparkly, this Style Star was easily awarded! She looks stunning!

Head Over Heels

It's Monday again so lets banish those blues with some gorgeous shoes!
This weekend I have fallen head over heels for the Charlotte Olympia Spring 2012 collection!

I love the new twist on the signature 'Dolly' pumps....

Fabulous perspex clutches...

What about these for statement shoes...

Expect to see these on Miss Olivia Palermo and Sarah Jessica Parker very soon, both are huge Charlotte Olympia fans!

Have a great week everyone.

Take One...Skinny Jeans

My skinny jeans are a wardrobe staple, especially at weekends! I have quite a big collection of jeans (half of them I don't wear!) but my favourites have to be these Goldsign Misfits. They are unbelievably soft and stretchy and perfect for dressing up or down.

For day, I love layering and this J. Crew Cape fits the bill perfectly. It's at the top of my autumn wishlist!
I'll swap the ballet pumps for some amazing heels and add a bit of glitz for a night on the tiles!

Daytime Sparkle

I'm loving the abundance of glitter and sequins in stores at the moment and this season it's not just reserved for party-wear alone. Even better! There's nothing like a dose of glitter to add a fun element to a relaxed, casual look - I'd happily pair any of these gorgeous pieces below with my trusty skinny jeans!

Style Star: Rachel Bilson

Always one step ahead, the celebs can't get enough of the Spring 2012 collections. Here's Rachel Bilson pictured in a pretty Suno dress that is straight off the runway. I love how she has made this outfit autumn appropriate by adding a smart Vanessa Bruno blazer. And those Louboutin's deserve a style star all of their own...fabulous!

Fine Wine

Burgundy, Merlot, Bordeaux.....just some of the wine shades that made a statement on the autumn catwalks and are now leading the way as the colours of the new season!

I love these deep red shades as a rich alternative to black. I've already invested in this dress from Glamorous at A-Wear and next on my wishlist is pair of burgundy skinny jeans.

Accessories also pack a punch in these deep autumnal tones - adding a luxury, glossy finish to any outfit.

Ad Love...

DKNY have just released images from the Resort 2012 campaign and it's making me very excited for the party season already! I love the sequins, the vibrant colours and the glossy fabrics.
There's something about campaigns shot at night-time - they are always gorgeous!

Happy Friday!

Style Star: Victoria Beckham

This week's style star goes to Victoria Beckham, photographed here in a dress from her own line during her recent trip to New York. I love the shape and soft colouring of this cute shift!

The look is topped off with her signature black over-sized sunglasses and sky high louboutin heels!

Fashion Fairytales....

Paris Fashion Week has wowed us with some fabulous Spring collections over then past eight days. I'm still struggling to narrow down my favourites as the standard has been so high! I have to give a special mention to Louis Vuitton and Chanel though, for the sheer spectacle that went into each show. The sets were stunning with Chanel adopting an under the sea theme and Vuitton installing a gorgeous, glittering carousel. Factor in the sugary sweet pastels at both shows and it was a real fashion fairytale!

Here are some of my favourite scenes...

Kate Moss closed Vuitton looking gorgeous in white
Coral reefs and seahorse designs set the scene at Chanel

Uncle Karl and Florence Welch lead the fabulous finale

To fully appreciate the magic of both shows I highly recommend you check out the full videos here!

Copy Catwalk...

When it comes to coats, there's one designer I always turn to for inspiration and that's Burberry Prorsum.
Luckily, the high street does too! Karen Millen has some great coats in at the moment with gorgeous button details, shoulder lapels and belted waists - very Burberry-esque!

1) I love the buttons on this one and the colour is a lovely vibrant orange. I saw it in-store and it's gorgeous, this image doesn't do it justice!

2) This one is a great classic piece, love the belted waist. Just add faux fur à la Burberry for the finishing touch!

3) Plaid and blanket checks also featured heavily in Burberry's Autumn collection and this one from Karen Millen is a lovely take on the trend. It can be dressed down with jeans for casual weekends or teamed with black tailored trousers for a smarter look.

I think the first one is my favourite, the pop of colour would be the perfect remedy to a dull winter's day!

Cosy Time...

October is here and the key piece for this month is definitely a faux fur vest. Seen on the likes of Olivia Palermo and Claudia Schiffer, the faux fur vest is perfect for layering and adds a touch of boho chic to casual daytime looks. This is a great transitional piece and perfect for those cool autumn days when a coat feels a little too heavy.

Here are a few of my favourites that I've spotted in the shops and online...
