It's here, my favourite day of year. I love everything about Christmas Eve and the magic that's in the air. To all of my lovely and loyal readers, wishing you a wonderful Christmas full of love and joy.
I'm in love with the dress above! So simple, yet stunning. Topshop are really smashing it with their party wear this season. I also picked up this jumpsuit recently. It may have left a pool of glitter on the floor of the fitting room when I tried it on, but that was enough to make up my mind. Who wouldn't like to leave a trail of glitter behind them?!
Those of you that follow me on Instagram will know I took a trip across the water this week to explore Christmas in London. Working in a creative industry, it's important to stay inspired, and where better to soak up the festive atmosphere than this fabulous city.
Sadly there wasn't enough time for shopping on this occasion, so I think a girls weekend is definitely on the cards for early 2015!
I took a million photos but here are a few highlights from Harrods, Fortum & Mason, Chanel and the gorgeous Le Chalet at Selfridges.
I wore my new Missguided cocoon coat to keep me warm and cosy whilst exploring. It is fast becoming one of my favourite purchases and it was an amazing Black Friday bargain. It comes in a whole range of colours and I'm very tempted to pick up another one. The fuschia colour is now only €26! Surely, I can't say no?!
This weekend I'll be picking up the last couple of gifts on my list and then on to my favourite part..the wrapping! It's a job that many dread but I really enjoy it!
They say good things come in small packages. And that is certainly true when it comes to the latest handbag trend! I'll be the first to admit my loved of over-sized everything accessories, but lately I can't get enough of the micro bag. Small, sleek and compact, these styles are often miniature versions of their iconic older sisters like the Givenchy Antigona or the Mulberry Lily.
Perfect for holding only the essentials, they are equally versatile for day or night worn cross body or slung over the shoulder. Who can argue with this cuteness? I'm (im)patiently waiting for the Mulberry sale come December 26th. Fingers crossed!
Now that's it's December, everything is getting the festive treatment. Even knitwear!
The Christmas jumper (or ugly holiday sweater) trend has been creeping in over the past few years and traditionally they haven't been all that pretty! 2014 brings a stylish update however and even though I've already bought one (above from Penneys), I can't help but want another!
Diamonds are a girls best friend, that indeed is true!
When I had a chance to browse the newest collection from Vashi.com lately, I wasn't going to say no.
Counting celebs like Angelina Jolie and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini amongst his fans, Vashi Dominguez is well established as a jeweller to the stars and a much acclaimed expert in his field.
The website boasts a dazzling array of rings, earrings and necklaces and allows you the opportunity to create your very own bespoke pieces. And for that extra sparkle, the Extraordinary Collection is certainly one of kind!
I've pulled together a few of my Vashi favourites styled up with a classic LBD.
With sparkle in the air, these stunning pieces look even more magical at this time of the year.
I have been raving about GLAMGLOW over on my Instagram, so figured it was about time I did a post about it here. After much hype surrounding this 'facial in a jar', I decided to invest in July and snapped up the YOUTHMUD and THIRSTYMUD
These products are without a doubt the best face masks I have ever tried and my skin has improved dramatically as a result!
I'll start with YOUTHMUD. It's extremely tingly on application but that's a sign it's working! The ingredients sound amazing and smell even better. The french sea clay and volcanic pumice rock are pure luxury. Upon rinsing this mask off, my skin is softer than ever. Unbelievably smooth, brighter and tighter. It's a great pick me up before a big event or night out and make up goes on like a dream after it.
THIRSTYMUD is a fabulous treat for dehydrated skin. I used this a lot during the summer days and it is delicious! Again the smell is gorgeous, like coconuts, and the texture feels so soothing on the skin. I love this one as it doesn't need to be washed off, making it perfect to slather on overnight. And in the morning, you'll wake with fresh hydrated glowing skin.
Silly mask selfie & post mask make-up!
They are expensive, but a little goes a long way. I'm just about finished the YOUTHMUD now and use it once a week. I will most definitely be re-purchasing when it runs out!
What better way to start a new working week than with some stylish office basics?
These key pieces are extremely versatile and would instantly update staples you already own.
I love the French Connection Shirt Jumper - it would look great paired with black skinny jeans or trousers for a more formal environment. It's nice to add a pop of colour too and I thought the ali gator print shirt was really unusual. The relaxed fit blazer is smart ,yet comfortable and I think a pair of printed trousers are a must!
I have been loving this look for quite a while and invested in a flat pair last year. Now, I'm on the lookout for the perfect heeled version. I think they look gorgeous styled with long tunic knits and capes!
As a bargain buy, the Penneys grey pair are fab at only €24! The Sam Edelman's over at Shopbop are also high on my lust list. I'm a sucker for suede!
So today I thought I'd pull together a few ways to style them for this season. As I've mentioned before, oversized knitwear teamed with leather look trousers is my absolute favourite way to wear this look. It's incredibly luxe and adds instant glamour to an otherwise simple outfit.
Aside from being warm and cosy, these super soft styles are guaranteed to make any outfit look polished and luxe.
I love the idea of mixing fabrics and think the Warehouse number above would be fabulous with a pair of faux leather trousers. I'd throw the pale pink one over a sparkly dress for instant glamour and team the snow leopard with black skinny jeans for a cool off duty look.
Day or night, these coats will certainly make a statement!
Over the weekend I made it my mission to tackle my wardrobe and switch over to full on new season mode. I packed away all of my summer bits and was ruthless in editing the autumn stash!
Things that I hadn't worn in forever, or pieces that didn't fit quite right, were cast to one side leaving me with plenty of room to see the pieces I love. Pulling my favourites out onto a rail keeps me inspired and pushes me to think of new and creative ways to restyle them.
Of course, I'll be making a few new additions too :) So to help me get started, I've compiled this list of staple items that will work hard throughout the entire season and beyond..
1) A denim shirt with a fun twist. I love the embellishment on this one
2) Shift dresses are my go to lately and this print is gorgeous
3) I am obsessed with oversized cardigans and this one is the perfect neutral colour
4) A simple black sweater is a must for work or weekend. This can be styled in multiple ways
5) A classic white shirt, ideal for layering and adding a smart edge to any outfit
Today we're talking ankle boots, as I desperately need a new season update. I wore my beloved Zara wedge booties to death last year and I'm currently on the lookout for a replacement. Whilst browsing, I came across some fabulous styles for a range of different occasions.
Boots play such a key role throughout autumn |winter and I wear mine with everything from dresses and skinny jeans to skirts and playsuits. So, it's important to choose right!

I had a blog post in mind for today, and then this beauty landed in my inbox. Coast, you have outdone yourselves with this showstopper of a skirt - my inner Carrie Bradshaw is jumping up and down with glee!
The beautiful dipped hem adds a modern edge to the midi design and that bow on the back? Divine!
All I need is somewhere to wear it...
Dublin ladies can pick the Alisa skirt up exclusively in Coast Dundrum and it's available online too. It's an investment piece at €200 but if you love it, be quick - it's sure to sell out in a flash.
Following on from yesterday's post, here's my take on blanket scarves for autumn. This one is from Zara and it is so cozy! I'm looking forward to layering it up with chunky knits and coats over the coming weeks.
My jeans and flats are also from Zara and the top is Penneys.
Autumn is well and truly in the air and I'm so excited to get layering!
Capes and blanket scarves were my cosy comforts last year so I'm thrilled to see both trending strong again for AW14! Top of my wishlist is this beautiful cape from Warehouse. I love the muted grey tones and check design. Here's a little styling inspiration...
Going on a late holiday makes it difficult to shop for swimwear, especially if you tend to leave things to the last minute like me! September rolled around and there was not a bikini or swimsuit to be seen in the shops. Just when I was about to panic, an e-mail from 'South Beach' popped into my inbox!
I had never heard of the website before, so I was giddy with excitement to log on and uncover a world of swimwear, beachwear and accessories in every shape, size and colour! The lovely people at South Beach kindly gifted me a couple of styles to review, arriving just in time for my trip to Malta.
I'm always drawn to brights, so the Faye Nectarine Parrot Jewel Bandeau was my first choice. It comes with a detachable halter strap, which I chose not to wear (great for avoiding pesky tan lines!)
I love that all of the tops and bottoms are sold separately, meaning you can mix and match. Select different colours and different types of briefs or team block colours with printed styles - the choice is yours. This also allows you to order different sizes on top and bottom, which is a major plus in my book! I chose the Flick Nectarine Gathered Side Bikini brief to complete my look.
I also received the Neon Pink Crochet Fringe Kaftan. I absolutely loved the colour and dramatic fringing on this and it was the perfect cover up for going to and from the pool.
I've pulled together a few more of my favourite pieces available on South Beach now. And the good news is that there's a great Sale running too! So, if you have a winter sun trip coming up or if want to get a head start on next year, click right here...
